Cleaner

Staff for Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a welcoming school in the Grantham area starting ASAP, on a part time, long term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team, helping to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for students, staff and visitors, with the potential of a permanent position for the right individual.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and polishing floors.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumables where required.
• Following health and safety procedures and safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns to the appropriate staff member.
• Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to the required standards within allocated timescales.

The Ideal Candidate will:
• Have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school or commercial environment (desirable but not essential)
• Be reliable, punctual and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Have a good understanding of health and safety and hygiene practices.
• Have good communication and organisational skills.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
• Be flexible and committed to providing a clean and safe environment for staff and students.
